Hello Friends!
It's been awhile since I have been able to create some cards!
I think I love creating cards just as much (if not more) as designing the images themselves!
But this month, I just couldn't resist working with one of our NEW RELEASE PAIRABLES!
I created a new Digi Stamp Set called "Pond Life Pairables" and a coordinating Digi Paper Pack called "On the Pond", both of which will be available in just a few days!
With that said...today I am sharing a card I created using just a few of the "Pond Life Pairables" images, and a couple of the papers from "On the Pond " Paper Pack, to create an adorable Pond Scene.
I thought these two little Pond Friends looked like they belonged together. What do you think?
I started off by assembling a few images in a simple setting because I planned on filling in the open areas with color, grass and earth tones using copic markers (complete supply list below).
I printed out the 6x6 pattern papers on white card stock and chose a couple of them to work with for my pond scene.
I wanted to highlight the turtle and his/her little friend, but I also wanted to bring the scene outside the main focal point....so I put together some catails and rocks to accent the lower portion of my card.
Along with the many elements in the Pond Life Pairables, I also included individual leaves, catails, and rocks, so you can tap into your creative mojo and build your own scenes. But please don't let that scare you! I've also included some catails already asembled in case you might not yet have the confidence to create your own.
Once I had all my images for my Pond scene colored, it was time to start assembling my card. I die cut an oval stiched frame and then embossed it for some added texture to my card. I also die cut a few leaves and flowers to place around the frame.
I added one of the cute sentiments, included in the Pond Life Pairables Digi Stamp set, and attched it to a couple of circle dies. I topped the sentiment tag off with a perfectly coordinating piece of bakers twine and sprinkled a few sequins ...just because!
And there it is! My card was finished! Now off to create a nother scene!
