You Stole My Heart

 

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I am Guest Designing for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges 

The theme is Valentine/Love/Anniversary

 I decided to use my GiGi digi stamp because I LOVE her and not only is hse holding a big heart, but she is also surrounded by hearts!

 

 

I started off by printing my image a choosing my digi papers. I designed these "Love in the Air" Digi Paper Pack around one of my favorite color copic markers, Begonia.

 

 

And...in case you are wondering, they printed up perfectly!

 

 

I die cut a heart border out of white cardstock and placed it over another piece of these fabulous digi papers. Then I set the die back into itself to create a beveled look.

 

 

I colored my image using Copic Markers and watercolors and added some highlights using a white Gel Pen. 

 

 

I decided to create a watercolor background using my Color Bursts inks. Matched up perfectly, didn't it?!

 

 

In order to get the perfect background for GiGi without taking away from the image or the digi papers, I watered down my Color Burst quite a bit. Then I dipped my paint brush in the watercolor and danced it lightly all around my background. I built up additional color in some spots and not in others.

 

 

I decided my card still needed a little something extra, so I punched out a mini envelope from my Love in the AIr Digi Papers and added an enamel dot...just because!

 

 

I added a few coordinating paper flowers and a black polk dotted ribbon and my card ws finished!
